About the Gold Medal Mom™ Contest

Being a mom is the most rewarding job in the world. It is also the most challenging. So for the countless acts of selflessness and sacrifice she makes to help her children achieve their dreams, Tyson Foods is giving Americans the opportunity to give their moms the recognition they deserve.

  • This is a national contest to identify and recognize America’s Gold Medal Mom™.
  • Tyson invites you to submit a written essay and a photo or a written essay and a video about your Gold Medal Mom™.*
  • All approved entries will be displayed on the site.
  • Starting May 11, 2008, Tyson will give America the opportunity to vote for one of the 25 finalists.
  • On June 18, 2008, Tyson will announce who will be named America’s “Gold Medal Mom™.”
  • That winning mom, along with a guest, will be on her way to the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing to cheer on Team USA!

You must be a legal resident of the 50 U.S. or DC, be at least 18 and have reached the age of majority in your home state.   • Fly round-trip coach air transportation to Beijing, China
  • Four (4) nights standard double-occupancy hotel accommodations
